ATTENTION DIXIE SOFTBALL LEAGUES

VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

BEGINNING WITHTHE 2011 SEASON, ALL UMPIRES WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER IN ORDER TO UMPIRE REGULAR SEASON GAMES AS WELL AS TOURNAMENT GAMES.

"Register" means the individual must take and pass the current Dixie Softball umpire exam. The following procedure must be followed:

1. Requests to register as a Dixie Softball umpire MUST be postmarked no later than April 15, 2011 and in the hands of the Umpire Committee chairman by May 1, 2011. All requests for tests MUST be accompainied by a $25.00 payment payable to: Dixie Softball Umpire Committee. (NO PAYMENT, NO TEST, NO EXCEPTION). NOTE: umpires registered in 2010 need only to send the $25.00 payment along with their 2010 Dixie Softball umpire registeration number. Umpires not registered in 2010 MUST send in payment and MUST take and pass the test. NOTE: All returned checks will be charged a $30.00 bank service fee.

2. All test requests and renewal requests are to be sent to: Dixie Softball Umpire Committee,  P. O. Box 1269, Denison, TX 75021.

3. All umpire items such as extra umpire patches, umpire T-shirts, caps, etc. may be purchased from the Dixie Supply Center at P. O. Box 877, Marshall, TX 75671 or online at www.dixiestore.org. The Supply Center's phone number is 903-927-2255, FAX 903-927-1846. MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover cards are accepted. Umpire training resources may be purchased from the governing body of softball, USASoftball at www.usasoftball.
